Harvard Project on American Indian Economic Development

The Harvard Project on American Indian Development (HPAIED) is a great resource for anyone interested in the set of topics suggested by its title.  The book we assigned for this course, "Rebuilding Native Nations" edited by Miriam Jorgensen, is largely a product of HPAIED.  In fact, there are two long reports published on their site specifically about the Tohono O'odham - one on nursing and the other on border issues.  Other articles and reports pertain to Southwest tribes more broadly or to issues that many tribes have in common (constitutions, tribal enterprises, treaty rights, tribal court systems, etc.  Happy reading!
